How much do I really get per customer?+
Everything the customer pays for their first regular month, minus what the payment provider (Stripe) charges us for that payment. Example: Small plan at €5.99 → about €5.65 for you. Your dashboard shows the exact amount for every single referral - no estimates.
When is my commission paid out?+
A commission is booked as "pending" when your customer pays their first regular month, and released once they pay for a second month. Released commissions are paid out monthly as soon as your balance reaches €25 - via PayPal or SEPA bank transfer, whichever you set in your dashboard.
Why do I have to wait for the second month?+
PaperHero has a 14-day money-back guarantee. The second-month condition protects the program from refunds and throwaway signups - and lets us pay you 100% of the first month instead of a smaller cut.
What about the €1 trial?+
Customers can start with a €1 trial month. That euro doesn't earn a commission - but when the trial converts to a paid plan, your commission is based on the first full month. The trial still counts as your referral thanks to the 60-day cookie.
How does tracking work?+
Your link is a normal paperhero.io URL with ?via=your-code attached - it works on every page. When someone opens it, paperhero.io sets a first-party cookie valid for 60 days. Attribution is last-click: the most recent partner link clicked before the purchase wins. No pixels, no fingerprinting, no tracking domain in between - just one cookie on the shop itself.
Are purchases in the iOS app tracked?+
Not yet. Subscriptions bought through Apple's App Store can't be linked to a web click. Only subscriptions completed on paperhero.io count - send your traffic to the website.
Why do you ask for a VAT ID?+
Commissions are business income. We pay out against credit notes (self-billing), and for that we legally need your company or business name and either your VAT ID (USt-IdNr.) or a declaration that you use the German small-business rule (§19 UStG). You are responsible for taxes on your earnings.
What's not allowed?+
The usual: no self-referrals, no bidding on "PaperHero" brand keywords in search ads, no cookie stuffing, no spam, no misleading claims. The full list is in the program terms - breaking them voids commissions.
