Affiliate Program Terms

1. The program
The PaperHero affiliate program is operated by blaumedia GmbH, Friedrich-Ebert-Hof 6, 22763 Hamburg, Germany (Amtsgericht Hamburg, HRB 198611). Partners recommend PaperHero via a personal referral link and receive a commission for referred paying customers. Participation is free. There is no entitlement to admission; accounts used abusively can be suspended.
2. Commission
The commission per referred customer equals 100% of the customer's first regular monthly subscription payment on paperhero.io, minus the exact payment processing fee charged to us for that payment. The €1 trial month does not carry a commission; for trial signups the first full month after conversion is the commission base. The commission is released once the customer has paid for a second regular month. If the customer receives a refund or cancels before the second payment, the commission lapses.
3. Attribution
Attribution uses a first-party cookie with a validity of 60 days and follows the last-click principle. Only subscriptions completed on paperhero.io are attributable; purchases via Apple's App Store or Google Play are not part of the program. There is no entitlement to attribution if the customer has deleted or blocked the cookie.
4. Payout and taxes
Released commissions are paid out monthly from a balance of €25, at the partner's choice via PayPal or SEPA transfer, against a credit note (self-billing procedure, §14 para. 2 sentence 3 UStG). For this, the partner must provide their company/business name and either a valid VAT identification number or declare that they are a small business under §19 UStG. Credit notes to partners invoking §19 UStG are issued without VAT. For partners in other EU countries the reverse-charge mechanism applies. The partner is solely responsible for the taxation of their commissions.
5. Prohibited practices
Not permitted: – Self-referrals (buying through your own link) and referrals of members of your own household or company; – Search-engine advertising on the brand terms "PaperHero", "blaumedia" or misspellings thereof, and using these terms in ad display URLs; – Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, bots or other artificial traffic; – Sending unsolicited advertising (spam) with the referral link; – Misleading statements about PaperHero, in particular fabricated prices, features or guarantees; – Acting as or giving the impression of being an official PaperHero site. Violations lead to the voiding of affected commissions and may lead to termination of the account.
6. Advertising material and disclosure
Provided texts and logos may only be used to promote PaperHero. Statutory labelling obligations for advertising (e.g. marking affiliate links as advertising) are the partner's responsibility.
7. Data protection
For click tracking we store a hashed form of the visitor's IP address, user agent and referrer; the visitor receives a first-party cookie (60 days). Partner data (name, company, email, VAT ID, payout details) is processed to run the program. Details: paperhero.io/privacy.
8. Term and changes
The program can be terminated by either side at any time without notice; released commissions above the payout threshold will still be paid out. We may change these terms with effect for the future; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. German law applies.
